I got complementary tickets for an accommodation of Machiya, or old Japanese house. I visited mum's place a few weeks before and the tickets were hanging from the wall, they went like, the owner family was fund-raising, so my dad and mum chipped in. The free stay was a quid pro quo. I wasn't fully happy that the money went to them but I got the right to sleep there and invited my friend who used to work with me. The night was fantastic, it is always great to spend time with someone smart, witted, and a little sarcastic. The house features a bathtub made of ceramic, giving you a great atmosphere. The thing is, because of its round shape, you can't stretch your legs and your back doesn't fit against it. I loved the entrance, it has a long hall from the door to the footstep where you take off your shoes. If I could live here I would put shelves on both sides, and make use of the space.
